A holiday resort found on the centre stretch of the Riviera degli Olivi where Lake Garda opens out after the enchanting promontory of S.Vigilio and Mermaid Bay. Once a Roman town: it lies reflected in an attractive panoramic bay, dominated by the old Camaldolite monastery and the lendary wooded Rocca. The town has many fine villas and gardens as well as Gothic and Renaissance buildings.
The panoramic hinterland has plenty of walks that reach Monte Baldo: Botanical Garden of Europe.The walk along the beach as far as the romantic S. Vigilio is particularly beautiful. There are also cave drawings in the area.
